Awesome Tip: How to Build a Stronger Connection With Your Audience | Young Lions Creative Academy Talk

The key to building strong audiences is casting stronger nets not wider ones. Meaning, don’t try to make one piece of content for your everybody. Instead, you should make multiple pieces of content that will resonate with more specific demographics in your audience. Trying to sell everybody vanilla won’t work with people who prefer chocolate. Treat your audience the same way!

  2. Nailed it. When I watch Gary I see some of the same thinking I have with my clients. I run a small agency that I just quit a six figure job to take a chance on. This was my side hustle and now it’s my gig, I have GaryVee to thank for it. WLTV OG

  3. 0:50 — the moment Gary is suddenly sitting the exact same way I am right now (other than I’m holding an iPad).
Even wearing flip-flops lol. No hat though it’s like 76 degrees in here.

  4. Gary, I'm a natural writer.

I made a vlog 140 days in a row, but it just doesn't have the same punch as my written.

I've done some professional copywriting and I blog all the time. I understand how to affect people and make them feel and do stuff with that type of communication.

Do you have any videos or tips for how to leverage those skills?

  5. It's actually an ART to always say the same thing and STILL amass a HUGE amount of fanboys who get inspired and motivated by it as if they heard it for the 1st time

  6. I appreciate your honesty.. I wish I had heard this as an 18 year old instead of a 57 year old. My experience has revolved around service but as a person that abandoned creative pursuits, I find I get burned out easily with the amount of energy I put out.

I've never been a business person and find myself, for the first time in my life "selling." Selling scares the crap out of me and I get stressed out by numbers being squawked at me over a headset while trying to provide the best service for a customer standing right in front of me… but I went in to it to learn as much as possible.

After 35 years of doing this and that, I still haven't found what really sparks and drives me. The reality is, I don't have the energy and stamina. I'm tired. And yet it doesn't stop me from getting up each day and putting the hours in while exploring new possibilities…. and look for ways to get back to those creative roots.

    Thanks Gary Vee!

  7. So true, we are all so different from social media platform to social media platform. It would be an interesting business world to live in if we were the same on our Instagram feed, that we were on our LinkedIn.
